Thomas Mangrum, Jr. 

Thomas Mangrum, Jr. lives in Washington, DC.  He has been interviewed by the Washington Post about potential budget cuts to disability services, featured on National Public Radio for his advocacy relating to violence against people with IDD, and recently contributed to The Judith Campaign, a communications campaign building awareness and acceptance of the diversity and contributions of DC’s community of people with disabilities and their families, care partners, and supporters in honor of the life and work of Judith Heumann.  
 

Mr. Mangrum previously served on the DC Developmental Disabilities Council, is the current co-president of Project ACTION! an advocacy group in Washington, DC, and is a staunch advocate for improved services for people with IDD and physical disabilities.
